Created as part of an educational initiative, I authored a gated eBook that helped managed service providers (MSPs) understand and monetize Australia’s Essential Eight cybersecurity framework. Released as the framework gained international attention, the piece showcased the client’s cross-market expertise and positioned their platform as a solution for MSPs expanding into regulated markets.
My role was to develop the narrative structure that turned mitigation strategies into a business opportunity story for MSPs. I authored the eBook, landing page, and companion blog post, developing a consistent message flow that guided MSPs from awareness of the framework to engagement with the client’s platform.

The objective was to educate MSPs on Australia’s Essential Eight framework, convert awareness into MQLs, and strengthen the client’s reputation in global compliance enablement. Positioned at the mid-funnel, the eBook and its supporting assets were designed to:
Build authority and search visibility around the Essential Eight.
Translate a region-specific framework into globally relevant guidance.
Position the client’s platform as a solution for operationalizing compliance across markets.
Capture high-intent visitors from the companion blog through the gated download.

I began by analyzing Australia’s Essential Eight cybersecurity framework and the official guidance from the Australian Signals Directorate, distilling its technical requirements into a modular learning path for MSPs. The eBook combined education and enablement by unpacking the framework’s eight controls and maturity model, then demonstrating how MSPs could translate those requirements into recurring revenue opportunities using the client’s platform.
To connect education with acquisition, I built a three-part content flow: a companion blog post that introduced the opportunity and drove SEO visibility; the eBook that deepened engagement through practical, sales-ready insights; and a gated landing page that converted high-intent visitors into leads. I authored all three assets with consistent messaging, keyword strategy, and CTA hierarchy across the funnel. The result was a cohesive content system that positioned the client as a global educator in compliance enablement while generating demand through education-led conversion.

The accompanying blog post ranked on the first page of Google SERPs for key terms including “Monetizing Essential Eight,” “Essential Eight compliance for MSPs,” and “Essential Eight compliance as a service.” The campaign also contributed to broader search performance, helping the brand secure a top three ranking for “compliance management for MSPs.” The gated eBook continues to serve as evergreen content within the client’s document library, driving ongoing downloads and engagement from MSPs pursuing Essential Eight readiness.
